It seems fans have to wait a little longer as "GTA 6" release date may take a few years more. The delay is believed to be due to Rockstar Games' plan of unleashing a massive expansion. From there, players will get to witness new maps, stories and a female lead character.
Although Rockstar Games have been outspoken about releasing "Grand Theft Auto 6," the New York-based video game company is yet to reveal an exact release date. Unfortunately for the fans, the highly-anticipated installment will take a few more years, as reported by Christian Post. However, Rockstar Games reportedly emphasized that the wait will be worth it, as there will be new challenges solely for loyal "GTA 6" players.
According to Latino Post, the delay is due to the fact that Rockstar Games want to include a massive expansion for "GTA 6." The said expansion is said to feature the entire US map, including big cities such as Miami and Los Angeles, among others. In addition, players will notice that San Andreas is located in the southwest, while Las Venturas will be in the territory of the former. San Fiero, on the other hand, will be taking the place of San Francisco near north of San Andreas.
It is worth noting that when "Grand Theft Auto" first started, it was merely a simple game that lets players use all sorts of vehicles to complete missions given by a crime lord. Now, it has become a third-person experience along with a bunch of tasks to achieve.
Ecumenical News mentioned that "GTA 6" will also involve maps from the past franchise, thus will open to more missions and broader storyline. Above all of these, Rockstar Games is rumored to include a female lead character in the upcoming "Grand Theft Auto" installment. In fact, the company has already reportedly connected with Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes to voice the new characters for "GTA 6."
As of this writing, Rockstar Games has neither confirmed nor denied the rumors about a massive expansion in "GTA 6." Nonetheless, if all of these prove to be true, then fans will surely have something to look forward to.
