7signal, maker of the Sapphire wireless LAN performance optimization solution, received a much needed boost after the US $250,000 infusion by the non-profit organization, JumpStart.
The company is also backed by North Coast Angel Fund, Akron BioInvesments Fund and Ohio TechAngels. In a statement, 7signal said it will utilize JumpStart's investment for product development and personnel skills upgrading.
The Sapphire solution by 7signal aims to reduce downtime on prevention principle since the system continually monitors activity on WLANs in real time through analytics tracking. With the system, any potential problems are immediately isolated and fixed even before they affect performance.
Among the establishments that use Sapphire are the Akron Children's Hospital and the Akron General Medical Center, along with schools and manufacturing facilities.
"More than ever businesses expect and need reliable, responsive Wi-Fi and 7signal ensures businesses have the means to keep their networks running predictably, efficiently and more affordably," JumpStart Venture Partner Mark Smith said in a statement.
