Countless rumors purporting Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed-Somerhalder's marriage have been going through a lot of tension in the past few months. Most of which bring up three issues intertwining with each other, fuelling allegations that this celebrity married couple may add up the long list of failed Hollywood marriages.
However, "The Vampire Diaries" actor recently slammed these rumors in an interview with WGNO. In the video, Ian gushes about finding a wife and partner that he's grateful to have.
"The most incredible, it's unbelievable, having an incredible partner to go through this life with. I'm so grateful."
The 36-year-old even recounted a story to deepen his heartfelt confession about Nikki. He shared how he rebutted a man during a United Nations occasion using the old-saying: "Behind every great man is a good woman."
To which the actor spoke up saying, "Sir, you might want to sort of retool that thinking. I said from my perspective, I said, 'Next to every great man is an even better woman.'"
It seems that not only does Somerhalder love his wife, he acknowledges her worth for him to be very thankful about.
"And I stand by that, and I'm so thankful to have that in my life." The Hollywood hunk concluded.
This may be enough answer to allegations bringing down the good relationship Ian and Nikki shares to date.
To outline the three most brought up issues prodding on this married couple's life, it includes Ian's past romance with "The Vampire Diaries" co-star, Nina Dobrev, Nikki Reed's sexy role in "Sleepy Hollow" and the "having children" issue between the pair.
