"Chicago PD" Season 3 will not be seen for a while after its fall finale last Wednesday. The show will return on January 6 with the conclusion of the Dick Wolf Chicago franchise's first three-way crossover. Incidentally, the series has been renewed by NBC for another season alongside its parent show "Chicago Fire".
On "Chicago PD" Season 3's return, viewers will see Halstead and Lindsay's relationship still strained. EP Matt Olmstead had earlier revealed in an interview that the couple will eventually get back together but warned fans not to expect the reconciliation to be soon. Halstead will try his best to win Lindsay back but she wants some time to think things over.
It will be recalled that Lindsay had bouts of depression last season when Hank warned the two of them that romance within the department is not allowed reports Christian Today. She took it hard as she didn't want to lose either her job or Halstead. She took painkillers and her life took a downward spiral since then. With Olmstead's revelation, fans believe that it will just be a matter of time before she goes back to Halstead.
"We're going to wait. The immediate concern is to get her on her feet again and out of harm's way, but down the road... we're exploring that," Olmstead said.
Meanwhile, TV Fanatic reports that there will be a twist in the storyline of Olinsky and his daughter Michelle. She has been relishing the time she spends boxing with Dawson as her boxing coach. In fact, she has been spending more time with him than she had with her father since Olinsky is almost always never around. His wife Meredith has not fully accepted Michelle and that makes her feel left out in her father's world.
In the last episode of "Chicago PD" Season 3 according to Latin Post, Olinsky became upset with Dawson for deciding something important in Michelle's life. Olinsky felt that he should have been consulted first before deciding anything that can affect her future. However, Dawson felt that he was just helping his friend out like he has been doing since Olinsky learned he had a daughter with someone else. Will Dawson and Michelle's closeness affect his friendship with Olinsky more than it already had?
