'12 Monkeys’ Season 2 Update: Mantis is the Virus hunter as revealed by Scottie Thompson

With the upcoming '12 Monkeys' Season 2 on the horizon, even though the upcoming season will be aired a few months from now, teasers have show that Mantis might just be the elusive virus hunter.

There is still so much more than meets the eye for this series. Although '12 Monkeys' Season 2 may still be several months away, Scottie Thompson, the new character who will take on the role of the villainous time-traveler named Mantis, provided details about her role to TVLine.

The post also indicated Thompson's revelation exposing that she will be a virus hunter on the Syfy's upcoming season. The actress exposed that her character will have "amazing time-traveling experiences in various times for the episodes of '12 Monkeys' Season 2.

Also, the promo for '12 Monkeys' Season 2 was shown in YouTube and it demonstrated Thompson's character, Mantis showcasing a '40s or '50s theme. Also, the actress described her role as a strong one. She was kicking butts and showcasing her dark side.

Furthermore, a past post from Design and Trend also indicated Thompson isn't the only new person to become a member the Syfy series since "Battlestar Galactica" alum Michael Hogan will also be a part of the series, and he will play an intelligent scientist from the future named Dr. Vance Eckland.

The post also added that Downton Abbey star Brendan Coyle would take the role of Dr. Benjamin Kalman. He is a former Markridge bioengineer who will join the team that released the virus into the society. Also, "The Shield" alum Jay Karnes will join the cast, taking the role of an FBI Agent Robert Gale in the year 1940s.

It appears that the upcoming episodes will be exciting and thrilling for the fans to witness. Also, titled episodes were revealed for '12 Monkeys' Season 2. The premiere is entitled "Year Of The Monkey" and the season 2 climax is titled "Memory Of Tomorrow".
