Did Gigi Hadid really change her hairstyle?
As if there weren't enough stars to look after during the 2015 American Music Awards, the supermodel stunned everyone with her new look. Hadid arrived at the AMAs red carpet in Los Angeles wearing a white two-piece outfit revealing her flawless skin on the typical areas, like her thighs and cleavage. But as if her sexy figure wasn't enough to make people stare, her sleek bob earned her numerous headlines.
When interviewed by Entertainment News to confirm what made Gigi decide to give up her hair, or if she indeed cut it, the blonde beauty just made a mysterious reply.
"You can check back tomorrow to see if I still have short hair. You'll have to see, I guess...There's tricks of the trade." Gigi teasingly revealed.
Yolanda, Gigi's mom instead hinted the truth behind the young star's hair in an Instagram post with caption #JustOneNightBob. So it seems it was just an overnight hairstyle and Gigi did not really cut her hair. The model's hairstylist, Bryce Scarlett, also confirmed that it was just a temporary hairstyle that was deemed to look best with her outfit which surely did.
In a report by Cosmopolitan, the details on accomplishing the look were revealed. Scarlett explained that the lob that didn't have any signs of looking fake or may even hinted a wig is because what's entirely visible are the front layers of Hadid's hair that's already cut bob-length. Underneath it was the wig which was cut to match the length of Hadid's hair and the rest of the blonde hair was tucked under the wig. To finish the look, the stylist then used a round brush and Matrix's StyleLink Gloss Booster to make the hairstyle look natural and silky.
