Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire North American fans got a chance to find a cool dark type Pokemon called Zoroark. Last week, Nintendo also opened up a Pokemon called Zygarde for fans to capture.
According to Siliconera, Zoroark will arrive at level 50 with illusion abilities. The Pokemon will also know Sludge Bomb, Dark Pulse, Flamethrower, and Sucker Punch. "Players can pick it up the next time they visit a Pokemon Center in-game… Nintendo has not announced how long the Zoroark will be distributed over the Nintendo Network."
Christian Today writer Benjie Sambas reported that Nintendo also released a rare Legendary Pokemon as part of the three-week celebration of the launch of the new "Pokémon XY & Z" anime adaptation in Japan. "However, requirements must be met in order to obtain Zygarde. The Pokemon is a Mystery Gift item that will be received via a shared Serial Code given during an airing of the new "Pokémon" anime series. The code, MEGAMEGA, can be redeemed by players via the 'Receive a Code' option in the Nintendo 3DS title."
Sambas added that players can get Zygarde if they redeem the code before January 16, 2016.
Nintendo is known for pushing the Pokemon franchise to get the best Return On Investment. This trickle release of special and rare Pokemons is part of the marketing and promotional machine of Nintendo.
It can be recalled that last October 29, it was reported by iDigitalTimes that Nintendo will release Pokemon Hoopa through a deal with McDonalds.
Hoopa was previously a Japan-only exclusive Pokemon. The deal will bring Hoopa to North American fans from November 27 to December 23. The UK will get Hoopa from October 23 until November 5. Germany will be joining the fun on October 16 until November 7.
Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire was released in 2014 for the 3DS and 2DS. The game got positive reviews across all media outlets and is an undisputed best-seller for the system.
