Disney XD has officially renewed "Star Wars Rebels" for its 3rd season. Disney XD's SVP of Programming and General Manager praised the creative team behind the series while Kiri Hart Lucasfilm SVP of Development stated his positive feedbacks about the show's storyline.
Disney XD has officially ordered the renewal for the 3rd installment of "Star Wars Rebels" from Lucas Film. According to Toon Zone, the 3rd season already has begun its production and is scheduled to launch anytime soon in 2016.
Marc Buhaj, Disney XD's SVP of Programming and General Manager, told The Wrap, "We are proud to bring our audience a 3rd season of Star Wars Rebels, a series that has resonated across generations. The creative team behind the series continues to do a brilliant job in delivering on the key tenets that fans have to come to expect from a Star Wars property, including adventure, hope and the battle between good vs. evil.
On the other hand, Kiri Hart Lucasfilm SVP of Development stated, "We're very proud of our incredibly creative Rebels team. The show continues to tell fun, heartfelt, exciting new Star Wars stories week after week, and its beloved fans of all ages. Season 3 will see our Rebel heroes face new obstacles and find new allies in their fight against the Empire."
Science Fiction has also reported that the movie "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" is only 17 days shy from its official release date. With that being said, the franchise's media presence will continue to expand the animated series' production and properties.
"Star Wars Rebels" Season 3 is set to be released anytime soon in 2016 and will ar every Wednesday, same timeslot at 9:30 p.m. exclusively on Disney XD.
