The Grinder Spoilers: Rob Lowe bids goodbye in Dec. 1 episode; Timothy Olyphant returns as Rake Grinder

Timothy Olyphant to return as guest star on the hit American single-camera comedy television series The Grinder. Rake replaces Dean in show The Grinder signaling an on-screen rivalry between brothers Dean and Rake on the series' Episode 9.

Episode 9 entitled 'Grinder Rests in Peace', Dean Sanderson, Jr. (Rob Lowe) receives instruction from The Grinder spin-off series to bid goodbye to a character mostly associated to him - Mitch Grinder. According to Spoilers Guide, the cherished and favorite Mitch Grinder of Dean will be replaced by his show brother Rake Grinder whom Timothy Olyphant will play. Dean gets jealous and has a hard time accepting his "defeat" over Rake.

Another brother rivalry to watch out for is off-screen siblings Stewart Sanderson played by Fred Savage and Ethan Sanderson portrayed by Connor Kalopsis. Ethan is to displace Stewart in a role, however, seizes the chance to convince Dean in getting his role back.

In the previous episode of The Grinder, Giving Thanks, Getting Justice Dean argued with The Grinder creator Cliff Beamis (Jason Alexander) leading to the decision of Rake replacing Dean. Dean will use his on-screen lawyer skills to help Stewart on real life problems, USA Today published. The thanksgiving special showed off Dean's excitement to be reunited with his family for the "real life" Thanksgiving celebration and to make up for his more quality time spent in work.

The Grinder Episode 8 displayed some flashbacks from Dean's successful career in the The Grinder. The episode also revealed his departure as well as the reason behind the cancellation of The Grinder, Entertainment Weekly posted. Timothy Olyphant first appeared in this episode as himself and plays Rake in The Grinder. Dean's flashbacks include him disclosing to Timothy on a potential role that requires him to take his shirt off. Timothy just brushed him off and told him he is not a piece of meat.
