Publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment recently held a YouTube streaming event last week to show off the opening cinematic movie for the upcoming game Project X Zone 2. The clip, however, is a private video but various sources reported that it highlighted the major playable characters of the upcoming crossover game, Anime News Network reported.

According to Kotaku, the game will feature a total of 58 playable characters. Since the game was developed by Monolith Soft, Capcom, Sega and Nintendo, the entire roster of Project X Zone 2 will be composed of iconic characters from these companies' various titles.

Some of the notable characters that will be featured in the game include Dante and Virgil from Devil May Cry, Ryu and Ken from Street Fighter, Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine from Resident Evil, and Jin Kazama and Kazuya Mishima from Tekken.

The upcoming game will also feature characters from games such as Mega Man X, Captain Commando, Segata Sanshiro, Shenmue, and much more. The upcoming Project X Zone title will feature a tactical role-playing gameplay experience, similar to previous games from the series.

Project X Zone 2 is scheduled for release in North America on February 16, 2016 and will be available for the Nintendo 3DS. However, gamers in Japan were already enjoying the game since it was released in their country on Nov. 12.

Although the game is still a couple of months away from releasing in the US, gamers can already pre-order Project X Zone 2 through online retailers like GameStop and Amazon. According to Nintendo Life, those who will purchase the game ahead of its official release will receive various bonus items and in-game exclusives. These include the Challenge Stage, Sun Sword, Diamond Medal Accessory, Amethyst Medal Accessory and a special Project X Zone 2 Nintendo 3DS theme.
