Five Nights at Freddy's World: Teasers And Surprises Revealed.

By

Five Nights At Freddy's creator Scott Cawthon has currently been uploading new images on the Indie DB page of his new game project, FNaF World, which highlights new gameplay mechanics and enemies. From Scott's posts on Steam, FNaF World is a playful RPG adapted from the "Five Nights At Freddy's" horror franchise where you can form a party consisting of the several animatronics and characters from the original horror games.

In the Indie DB page for the game, you can find screenshots of the battle system, features and some of the enemies you will encounter in the game. The first of the screenshots feature Ballboys, which certain fans of the franchise would recognize from their appearance in the fake FNaF World troll game that Scott posted as a prank shortly before the FNAF 4 Halloween update. Other enemies revealed are the wooden Chop 'N Roll enemies that seem to be a reference to one of Scott's older titles, Chipper and Sons Lumber Co., and blue hermit crab-like creatures called Chillax.

Some of the gameplay mechanics have also been revealed in the screenshots. The character select screen seems to suggest that players can rotate between two parties of four characters each that unlock as the story progresses. And from what the select screen reveals, players can look forward to about 40 playable characters from all the games. Scott also said that there would be some additional and hidden content in the game in its release. Next is what seems to be a chipset mechanic in 8-bit graphics which appears to be lifted from Scott's other game, Desolate Hope. It seems as if you can select a certain number of abilities, or "chips", to aid the party during their ventures. It's also possible that players may be able to unlock more chips as the game advances. Curiously, there are two screenshots that indicate that the overworld maps will be in the 8-bit style of the minigames featured in the original series, as well as an image of what appears to be a free-roam map in the 3D style graphics from the rest of the screenshots.

However, it looks like the horror elements will still play a part in this game. Earlier in November, the FNaF World website turned dark, with a black screen and faint logos. The fanbase took the black image on screen, and brightened it to reveal the somewhat unsettling image of the cute FNaF World version of Mangle being hung from the ceiling, with the caption: "SEE WHAT YOU'VE ALL DONE" in the bottom, and the original image was removed soon after. Although on closer inspection, there was no noose, and Mangle seems to be hanging from something they have in their mouth. This seems to reference to the teaser trailer where Mangle is playing paddleball. Another image, which is still on both websites, seems to reveal either Balloon Boy or Ballboy's disembodied head over the words "Madness takes many forms."

FNaF World is set to launch on PC and mobile devices on 2016.
