The actor confessed that he was diagnosed as HIV-positive four years ago and only recently does he had the guts to reveal his true condition. He also claimed that he spent huge amounts of money just to keep his diagnosis a secret to everyone.

Charlie Sheen has dwelt on revealing his real condition in an interview with Matt Lauer of NBC. The 50-year-old actor said that his coming out should stop various allegations of him. CNN shared that Charlie Sheen also told the truth to his sexual partners and have eventually called it impossible that he had transferred the virus to any of them.

In addition, the actor told some people he trusted regarding his condition. But he never thought that these people will use his condition as a leverage to gain money from him. Scared that his condition will go public, Charlie Sheen gave in to what these people wanted - and gave them money for their silence.

Although the 'Two and A Half Men' star does not know where exactly he got the virus, although he fears that it could come from a transsexual he hired who may have the virus. Realty Today featured that Charlie Sheen hired the transsexual out of plain curiosity. The actor is a known womanizer, claiming that he bedded more than 5,000 women.

According to the actor, he was blackmailed about his current condition. His coming out aims to increase awareness to everyone, especially those working in the sex industry. Charlie Sheen has also revealed that he came out with a full confession because he was being extorted for $10 million, Washington Post shared.

Charlie Sheen was forced to come out with the big news about his HIV condition because of the blackmails he has been receiving. The actor revealed the aforementioned details about his state so people will give attention and increase awareness about HIV.
