On November 30, Amazon slashed the pre-order price of "Horizon Zero Dawn" by 15 percent as part of its Cyber Monday Deals. In addition, the page for the upcoming action role-playing shooter on the online retail site may have revealed the title's official release date.
According to Game Idealist, "Horizon Zero Dawn" was recently included in Amazon's Cyber Monday Deals. Aside from the game, the offering by the online retailer also included discounts on "Deus Ex: Mankind Divided," "Just Cause 3" and "Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege."
Unfortunately, the discount deal for the games expired on Monday but gamers can still look forward to Amazon's upcoming promos. Currently, the pre-order price of "Horizon Zero Dawn" on its Amazon page is $59.96. Interestingly, the listing also shows what could possibly be the launch date for the game.
A quick search on Google would reveal that "Horizon Zero Down" does not yet have an official release date. Instead, the game's information card on the page only indicates that the title will come out sometime in 2016. This is probably because developer Guerrilla Games has not yet publicly announced when the game will come out next year.
However, in the game's Amazon page, the online retailer noted that those who will pre-order the game will receive their copies once "Horizon Zero Dawn" arrives on Dec. 30, 2016. Although it's easy to assume that this could be the game's official launch date, gamers should probably hold off their expectations until Guerrilla Games issues an announcement.
For now, "Horizon Zero Dawn" is scheduled to come out sometime next year and will be exclusively available for Sony's PlayStation 4 console. Although the game is still about a year away from its release, its developers had already released a video in October showing off the upcoming title's gameplay. According to a post by Guerrilla Games on the PlayStation Blog, the clip is based on the closed demo event held for the game during this year's Paris Games Week Conference.
