The Librarians Season 2 Episode 7 and beyond: Dorian Gray attacks while Flynn and Eve fall in love

By

The upcoming The Librarians episode, "And the Image of Image," the seventh in its second season, shows the threat posed by Prospero is now replaced by Dorian Gray, the indestructible immortal, as he takes his place. Complicating this is the whirlwind romance happening between team leader Flynn Carsen (Noah Wyle) and his equally brilliant, outspoken colleague Eve (Rebecca Romjin).

According to CDA News, the team's well-deserved break after vanquishing Prospero ends when the people around them start getting ill for no reason. Worse, they seem to be suffering the negative consequences brought by evil acts that they didn't commit.

The perpetuator of the crime turns out to be Dorian Gray, the literary creation of Sir Oscar Wilde. According to Internationalhero.co.uk, Gray is an 18th century rich spoiled brat who avoids sickness, aging, and death because his magical painting absorbs these all for him. As a result, Dorian remains perpetually young, handsome, and healthy.

Flynn would normally have his mind on the game but he is distracted by his growing romance with Eve, who approaches their growing mutual attraction with her characteristic coolness.

In an interview with the Sydney Morning Herald, Wyle elaborates on his character's escapades. He says, "And Flynn and Baird have gotten to spend a lot more time together so he tends to steal her away from the group, and they go off on these romantic adventures. And that's where we find them. [But] something is afoot, something is not right with the library ."

It may not be the best.for the team leader to focus on the matters of the heart, especially when someone like Dorian Gray comes stealing people's life force to fuel his eternal youth.

The seventh episode of The Librarians Season 2 titled "And the Image of Image" will air on December 6 on the Syfy Channel..
