The badass Jessica Jones just learned she is immune to Kilgrave's mind control power in Jessica Jones Episode 9 called AKA Sin Bin. Kilgrave escaped highly secured prison using his manipulative ability. A brewing Daredevil - Jessica Jones crossover is to be seen in the coming episodes.
Netflix's Jessica Jones is on fast track as the series is only four episodes behind its finale. AKA Sin Bin gave viewers a preview of both Jessica Jone (Krysten Ritter) and Kilgrave's (David Tennant) earlier lives. The episode opened with Kilgrave locked in a heavily sheltered facility with Jessica interrogating him from the outside the cell.
Carter Matt noted that Jessica was forced to torture the antagonist to confess to his sins by showing a video of his child self being experimented by his parents. Jessica stole the video from the previous episode.
However, Kilgrave was a hard nut to crack. Jessica had to be extra cruel and put him on electric shock while replaying the video from his past. She also called him his given name Kevin but Kilgrave denied he has killed anyone. Vulture added that during the questioning,
Jeri Hogarth (Carrie-Anne Moss) tells Jessica that Hope Shlottman (Erin Moriarty) has been given 48 hours to admit the crime in exchange for 15 years of sentence in prison. This equates to Jessica has only 48 hours to extract information from Kilgrave.
The only way Jessica can get Kilgrave to stay in prison to record in a video of Kilgrave's deadly powers. She tried provoking him inside his cell so he will attack him but it failed. The only way she can think of is to get through his parents. Once she found them, she brought them to the prison and hopes that sympathy works with Kilgrave. Unfortunately, Jessica's strategy backfired. Kilgrave killed his mother and escaped the protected facility. Den of Geek added that after the incident, Jessica realized Kilgrave cannot control her.
An exciting news for Marvel heroes' fans is that a potential Daredevil and Jessica Jones crossover may happen in the succeeding episodes. Several reports claimed that the teaser video for Jessica Jones Season 2 showed a Jessica holding a business card with Matt Murdock's name on it. Watch Jessica Jones on Netflix.
