Sony Computer Entertainment has announced that the servers of the action role-playing game "Bloodborne" are now online after an emergency maintenance procedure. Also, the publisher and development studio FromSoftware have recently released the first expansion for the game titled "The Old Hunters."
According to PlayStation Lifestyle, the servers for "Bloodborne" went offline on December 1 to accommodate necessary maintenance work. At that time, the developers of the game said it might take a couple of days before the servers can run again.
Fortunately, a day after making the announcement, Sony Computer Entertainment updated fans of the game through the PlayStation Japan site and announced that the servers are now online. The company also noted that patch 1.08 is already available for download. According to the developers, this update fixes the issues regarding the survivor state of the game's non-playable characters.
As for the game's latest DLC, Sony Computer Entertainment officially released "The Old Hunters" for "Bloodborne" on November 24. Those who are already playing the expansion pack may have noticed that they will need a few special items in order progress in the game. These include the Brain Fluid, Balcony Key and Holy Moonlight Sword. Recently, gaming news site Segment Next published a brief guide on how to find these items.
According to the site, the Brain Fluid can be obtained by killing the Brain enemy on the third floor of the Research Hall. Then, players must head over to the building's top floor to access its rafters. Upon reaching this area, they must go the platform's center and raise it to reach the second Brain Fluid.
With these items, they must meet with Saint Adeline to trade one of the Brain Fluids with the Blood of Adeline. Then, they must return to the Hunter's Dream and stay in this area for a couple of minutes before going back to Saint Adeline. During their second meeting, players can acquire the Balcony Key in exchange for the other Brain Fluid.
To get the Holy Moonlight Sword, players must defeat Ludwig The Accursed. After doing so, they should equip their character with the Church armor or attire. From here, they'll be able to get the sword by checking around the head of the defeated boss.
"Bloodborne" officially came out in North America on March 24 of this year. It was released exclusively for Sony's PlayStation 4 console.
