Beyoncé, Coldplay collaborates for new single "Hymn For The Weekend"

One of the biggest and probably most awaited collaborations had just happened as Coldplay and Beyoncé finally teamed up for a song entitled" Hymn For The Weekend." The band's upcoming album "A Head Full of Dreams" will come out on December 4 which will feature the said track, The Independent reported.

The new single was heard and played for the first time at Annie Mac's BBC Radio 1 Show last Monday in London. The Queen Bey's vocals can be heard at the start and all throughout as part of the background with Coldplay. (visit The Verge to listen to the song).

The female superstar was then again "flawless" as she always is, even just by being in the background. This was confirmed by Coldplay bassist Guy Berryman as he shared the experience with the "Love On Top" singer about the song's conceptualization and its recording.

"It actually started off being quite a different vibe, this song. Chris was wanting to write a sort of party song. The words were 'Drinks on me, drinks on me.' And we said to him, 'You can't say that. You can't get away with that,'" Berryman was saying on the radio show according to E! News.

He then said that the whole story of the song changed. Afterwards, he requested Beyoncé to be part of it, to which she politely agreed. He added that in just five minutes, she was done, which only showed how professional the phenomenal star is.

Coldplay's Christ Martin shared in an interview with The Wall Street Journal how special their current album is. He said it will contain songs with his kids and ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow. Moreover, Beyoncé's adorable daughter Blue Ivy will also be in it.

"Everyone who got asked to sing on our album has an important part in our lives... It comes from learning about Greek tragedy, where the chorus chimes in at times. To me, when we use that sound, it's to affirm what I'm saying. 'We agree with you, Chris. Keep singing,'" he said.
