CD Projekt RED's open world role-playing game The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt continues to reap its success as it bags the over-all Game of the Year at 2015 Game Awards while CD Projekt Red gets the Developer of the Year award. After the game's first expansion, fans are now waiting for the Blood and Wine DLC teased by the developer's Community Lead as something 'awesome.'
Details are still few so far about Blood and Wine which is expected to contain 20 hours of adventure in the region of Toussaint, taking Geralt into a land untainted by war, a carefree atmosphere of indulgence and knightly rituals hides an ancient, bloody secret.
On Tuesday, CD Projekt RED Community Lead Marcin Momot teased on his Twitter account about the Blood and Wine DLC which he describes in one word, "AWESOME." It appears that Momot went in a meeting and was amazed at the new development on the Blood and Wine expansion pack.
Blood and Wine was originally scheduled to launch in the first quarter of 2016 but it is now moved on the first half of 2016, that is between January to June next year. There is no exact launch date yet, however, for the Blood and Wine, GameSpot reported that a representative from CD Projekt Red will be "communicating more about the exact launch date of Blood and Wine at a later point in time."
More on the game's awards, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has also won the "Ultimate Game of the Year" award at the 33rd Golden Joystick Awards in October. It also bagged other major awards including Best Storytelling, Best Visual Design and Best Gaming Moment, as noted by BBC News. CD Projekt RED was also awarded the Studio of the Year.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was launched on May 19 for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. Its first paid expansion, Hearts of Stone, was released on October 13 and the final expansion, Blood and Wine, is said to close the book on Geralt's journey for the meantime.
