In the wake of the most recent news on the possibility of more explicit scenes in "Fifty Shades Darker" comes speculation on whether or not Jamie Dornan has agreed to go nude in the second installment of the "Fifty Shades" series. An anonymous source claims that Jamie Dornan was offered $1.5 million to do full frontal nudity.
According to Movie News Guide, producers are keen on amping up the erotic factor in Fifty Shades Darker. This could entail exposure for actor Jamie Dornan, who plays Christian Grey, an enigmatic businessman with a secret proclivity for indulging in BDSM. Exposure could mean full frontal nudity, which the actor has been reportedly offered to do for $1.5 million. Dornan has yet to confirm these speculations, but according to Movie Pilot, this offer is just a base figure. The anonymous source adds that the producers would be willing to pay more should Dornan demand it, and that he would be "crazy not to consider" the huge offer.
The 33 year-old Irish actor has not been one to shy away from the topic of exploring the many mysterious facets of his character. In his often-cited interview with People Magazine last month, Dornan has expressed his excitement in showing more of his character, Christian Grey. Many fans immediately took this to mean they will be seeing a nude Dornan/Christian Grey on the screen for the sequel.
Even if Dornan were to turn down the offer, producers already have a plan B to consider. The option is to have Canadian model Peter James Grey step in as a body double for him.
While many fans expect Dornan to do frontal nudity, they also expect the female lead, Dakota Johnson, to remain true to her word when she said she has no problem doing anything in her interview with Elle magazine. "Fifty Shades of Grey" was given an R rating in cinemas. This rating is expected to continue for the remaining films in the series. Fifty Shades Darker is set to premiere in theaters worldwide on February 10, 2017.
