A surprise announcement was made when several new games were added to the partial list of the VR compatible games for the PlayStation 4 during the PlayStation Experience 2015.
Last July, a large list of games said to be compatible was released, and is slowly being updated. And during the Playstation Experience, the VR headset made for the PlayStation 4, Project Morpheus, was formally announced and showcased in the event.
Following the announcement, eight developers then went up to stage to present their VR-compatible titles. The trailers were well-received, but there was one game that really stood out that day. The title that caught most of the fans' attention was Rez Infinite. Rez Infinite is a virtual reality version of "Rez, a well-known and somewhat surreal rail shooter game available on Dreamcast and PS2, and is made for PlayStation 4. With the VR-compatible remake, the game reaches a whole new level of surreal awe due to its full three-dimensional graphics, fast-paced gameplay and smooth visuals.
And according to Slash Gear, the other titles released on-stage include Golem, where players play and explore as the titular golems, 100ft Robot Golf, where you pilot giant mecha while playing scaled-up golf, Eagle Flight, a flight simulator with the player controlling an eagle flying over Paris, Ace Combat 7, a well-known flight simulator that lets you pilot fighter planes and duke it out with other jet fighters, The Modern Zombie Taxi Company, a silly driving game where you play the part of the last human on earth and drive zombies to their destinations with your taxi, and Dead Secret, a suspenseful detective game where you race to solve a murder before you are killed.
Aside from these titles, a couple others have confirmed VR compatibility, including Tekken 7 and the sequel to Psychonauts titled Psychonauts in the Rhombus of Ruin.
The Project Morpheus VR HMD (head-mounted drive) is set to be released sometime on 2016 and is fully compatible with the PS4. A total of 40 titles are confirmed to be compatible with VR, including Among The Sleep, ARK: Survival Evolved, Jurassic Encounter and Project C.A.R.S.
