Simon Lowth will be the new Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director of BG Group PLC., U.K.'s third largest natural gas producer. The effective date of Lowth's appointment is yet to be announced according to BG Group. He will take the place of Den Jones, BG Group's interim CFO since February.

He is set to leave AstraZeneca this October.
