Former "Dancing With The Stars" pros Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd just got engaged this weekend, showing they are going to be ballroom partners for life. This was reported by Chmerkovskiy himself as he tweeted the exciting news that links to a photo on Instagram.

According to CNN, the Ukrainian hottie posted the tweet "She said 'yes'" while tagging Murgatroyd. The photo shows his new fiancee clasping her hand over her mouth while being teary-eyed as she looks at the ring in front of her. Chmerkovskiy was kneeling before her with a microphone in one hand and an engagement ring on the other.

The 35-year-old dancer popped the question to his girlfriend after a "SWAY: A Dance Trilogy" performance at the Olympia Theater in Miami, Florida. A witness of the proposal reported that Chmerkovskiy said, "I'm in love with you and I want to be in love with you for the rest of my life" to Murgatroyd after which he asked her, "Will you marry me?" as reported by Us Weekly.

The Season 18 champion, for her part, also posted a photo on her Instagram account of her and her fiancé kissing affectionately, said Huffpost Entertainment. She wrote the caption ""I said yes!!!!!! You have my heart forever my love. Love always wins."

The newly-engaged ballroom couple began dating in 2012 for 10 months until 2013. Just this year, they fully got back together. Reports said that Chmerkovskiy has been doing his best to show Mergatroyd that he has changed for the better. But way before dating Mergatroyd, Chmerkovskiy was then engaged to Karina Smirnoff, who is a fellow pro. They called off the engagement in 2009.

Indeed, lovers who share the same passion tend to end up together. Congratulations to the dancer couple and best of luck to a married life soon!
