Honor 7 Enhanced Edition is coming out in the public running with Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The company decided to release an upgraded version of a previous phone than manufacturing a new Nexus device. Huawei is the second manufacturer, after HTC, to announce the new software in its smartphone.
VR Zone mentioned that the new Honor 7 edition comes with 32GB. This is more than the previous phone for its 16GB. Other specs include a 5.2-inch Full HD LCD display, 3GB of RAM, and 20MP rear camera and 8MP front-facing camera. The new edition also comes with a microSD slot and LTE connectivity. It will also come with 3,100mAh battery with 9V-2A charger which will power up the device quickly.
Further, GSM Arena stated in its report that Honor 7 Enhanced Edition is powered by an octa-core Huawei Kirin 935 processor chipset with 2.2GHz CPU and the Mali-T628 GPU. It also features a fingerprint sensor at the back. The new version comes only in gold. Phone Arena also mentioned that the new variant comes with a resolution of 1080 x 1920. This can provide a 424ppi pixel density. According to the related report, the new edition is at around $310, compared to the old version of Honor 7 with an amount of $278. Honor 7 Enhanced Edition is available in the market of China.
Since the new variant of Honor 7 is packed with Android 6.0 Marshmallow, it is expected to present the key features of the said software version. To sum it up, the new OS features Doze technology for enhanced battery life, Google Now on Top shortcuts of information, Android Pay that supports fingerprint scan, App permissions, and automatic back up.
Huawei did not comment if the previous version of Honor 7 will also receive Android 6.0 Marshmallow. However, there is a possibility that company may not roll out the new Android software to the old version because of the presence of the new variant.
