The latest update in 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' features a Chinese trailer with some unseen footages. Moreover, Chinese pop star Lu Han is announced as the new ambassador for Star Wars in China.
Indeed the Force shall be awaken within few days, however until everyone hears John Williams' Star Wars Theme during the intro, all earthlings are left with finite suppositions and rumors. People are drawn to make inferences and speculations from trailers, but not all trailers are the same.
The Force Awakens trailer for the Chinese audience features some new unseen footages. The trailers shows that Rey has the capacity to talk to a droid - BB-8. She asked the droid where it comes from and BB-8 responded with something too robotic for human ears. Rey replied: "Classified, really? Me too."
The trailer also features the Falcon in space being trailed by a squadron of X-Wings. Hopefully, John Boyega's Finn doesn't get too cocky at controlling one of its blaster turrets - Han hates cocky people, aliens too! Finn also moves like a Padawan and knows how to swing a lightsaber while taking on a Stormtrooper in melee combat. The new trailer also includes new dialogues between John Boyega and Daisy Ridley - there's even a "we've got company" callback.
Chinese pop star Lu Han, the face of Hollywood in China, wields a lightsaber before the trailer begins. Disney recruited the former boy band member of EXO as an ambassador of Star Wars to produce more hype in China. According to Hollywood Reporter, Han will serve as an honorary member of the "Jedi Order" in the country.
Jan Hsu, Disney's general manager in China said that Han is a Star Wars super fan himself.
The Internet went crazy after seeing these new footages that had not yet been seen in U.S audiences. The film might need more promotion or a bit of a push in China, however with all the teasers posted on the internet, the 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' is a sure global box office hit.
