Gun Media's Friday the 13th: The Game has surely been one anticipated title that has become a household name for most, and with it, fans are already looking forward to what it will present. A preview of the proposed game has been lurking around the web and with it, the excitement continuous to go up in levels.
According to Bloody Disgusting, the cordially crowd-funded Friday the 13th: The Game has garnered more than what was expected of it as of the moment, and even went beyond it. Last month, on an unusually timed Friday the 13th of November, the said title managed to reach the appointed goal worth $700,000-even surpassing it to about $823,704 with an estimate of over 12,218 backers. The achievement was more than enough to have the game run smoothly as many want it to be.
Reported by VG247, Gun Media explained their enthusiasm on the title, and was quoted, "This is a RARE glimpse into a game development prototype build that we're using to test and prove out gameplay design concept. All of the assets, character models, animations, etc... are temporary assets, put in place so we can test in a reasonable context.
The art, sound effects, music and gameplay are not final by any means and are not indicative of what the game will look and sound like at release. We are focusing on fun first and foremost during the pre-alpha stage, and using this time to nail an authentic Friday the 13th experience featuring Jason Voorhees. Models, animation, UI/HUD, etc... will improve as the project moves forward."
Despite the fact that the crowd-funded game is still raw, as reported by Hardcore Gamer, Friday the 13th: The Game is considerably complete. Based from the gameplay footages that have been spread consistently over the web, the multiplayer aspect of the title is already well-received, and with the unending support of the fans, the game will perhaps go further than where it stands as of the moment.
The additional crowd-funding that Friday the 13th: The Game will get, should it continue to acquire, will enable Jason to get more execution methods and maybe more feats in the near future. Stay posted for more updates on Gun Media's multiplayer thriller title that is yet to unmask itself.
