Metta World Peace finally decided on his next move - the New York Knicks.
The former Los Angeles Lakers hoop star recently received an amnesty, which released him from the team and allowing him to become a free agent up for grabs for any NBA or any team worldwide. World Peace's deal with the Los Angeles Lakers was reportedly worth US$3.2 million for two years.
The new deal offered by the New York Knicks should be finalized within the week, reports said. Furthermore, the contract stipulated that the guarantee only applies for the initial year, and Metta World Peace can choose to become a free agent again afterwards, said the sources.
The New York Knicks had only little fund left to spend this offseason according to people near the team's management. The remainder of their finances was spent to invest on their newest talent - Metta World Peace. The deal cost the company US$1.6 million, sources said.
