It's official! Eva Longoria is now engaged to Jose "Pepe" Antonio Baston after the latter popped the question during their Dubai getaway.

The "Desperate Housewives" actress shared the happy news during the weekend as she posted a photo on Instagram showing her and Baston smooching in a desert in Dubai. Longoria also shows off her engagement ring that's unique - a ruby enclosed with diamond clusters, according to People.

With this, the couple did not waste any moment celebrating their engagement through an extravagant private party in Dubai. Latin Post reported that around 20 friends enjoyed the feast with the lovebirds which included Abu Dhabi entrepreneur Ayman Al Afifi, Dubai businessman Evgeny Kuzin and Global Gift Foundation co-founder Maria Bravo.

Throughout the party, Longoria and Baston portrayed the role of a couple so in love as they gave each other kisses in front of the guests. Longoria has been dating the 47-year-old businessman since 2013 and is just so happy that they are getting married soon.

"I'm excited to be with someone as kind as Pepe is...I'm truly in love, mostly... every moment we get to spend together is a blessing," she said.

True enough, all of Baston's effort in courting her fiancée before paid off. One source said that he has been sweeping Longoria off her feet and has now completely succeeded.

This will be the third time that the female star will tie the knot. She was formerly married to French basketball player Tony Parker in 2006, only to split after four years. Way before that, she also eloped in 2002 with soap actor Tyler Christopher until they divorced in 2004.

Daily Mail added that Longoria happened to date reality star Ernesto Arguello in 2013. Also, she had an on-and-off relationship with Eduardo Cruz, the younger brother of actress Penelope Cruz.

But clearly all of those do not matter anymore as Longoria confessed that her fiancé now makes her happier than ever before.
