Suzhou Snail Digital Technology Co., also known as Snail Game, revealed that it is considering a market debut in Hong Kong, two sources with knowledge of the deal said. Suzhou Snail Digital Technology is a Chinese developer of online videogames, one of which is promoted by Hollywood star Jet Li.
Sources said that the share sale may raise as much as $100 million next year. The videogame developer is in the process of choosing investment banks to organize the offering, sources said., who requested not to be identified since the information is confidential.
Established in Suzhou city in 2000, Suzhou Snail Digital Technology was the first Chinese firm to create 3D online games. "Age of Wushu" is title of the videogame endorsed by Jet Li under a commitment with the company. The game was launched in 2012 in the U.S and in China.
Representatives at Suzhou Snail Digital Technology were not readily available to comment on the public offering.
