The youngest 'CoverGirl' Talia Joy Castellano died today after losing her long battle against cancer. Castellano, only 13 years old, was proclaimed by the makeup company as their honorary spokesperson.
The girl was a YouTube sensation, garnering thousands of hits for her makeup tutorial videos. Castellano died Tuesday at the Arnold Palmer Hospital. Her death was announced first on her official Facebook fan page.
The announcement read, "It is with a heavy heart that we share with all of you that Talia has earned her wings at 11:22am."
"Please lift her beautiful soul, her beautiful light to heaven and please send your love and prayers to her family during this most difficult time," continued the statement, which was reposted in several social media sites.
CoverGirl is a makeup and cosmetics brand. Proctor & Gamble owns the company. CoverGirl picks different women of prominence and popularity to represent their brand in different media. These representatives were called 'CoverGirls', a marketing strategy that has worked for the company which saw increase in sales after utilizing the strategy.
Talia caught the attention of CoverGirl through her television guesting.
