Brooks has been applauded for his courage and American spirits by some Facebook users. Some have also reported to criticize his whole idea. Even he has experienced a threatening message on social media warning to shoot up the smokehouse. Brooks has reported the threat to the Harris County Sheriff's Department.
Referring the threat to be illegitimate, the barbeque joint owner still continues to serve his possible best quality of food. He urges all to accommodate with opportunities to achieve the goal of the smokehouse through serving quality and good food.
