The Hyundai Elantra 2017 has been priced commencing at $17,985, which is near $100 lesser than its previous model of 2016. The Elantra 2017 has the most advanced packages like the rear-view camera, smartphone combination through Apple CarPlay functionality, automatic headlights, cruise control, hood insulator, entertainment system empowered by Bluetooth and frenzied side mirrors.
The budget friendly car will enter the US market during the first quarter. The customers can install Android Auto by paying an extra $800, the Android Authority said quoting the company's press release. The company said that in early 2016, it will have more information with respect to the accessibility of Android Auto, which is presently available on 2015 and 2016 Sonata models, and CarPlay on other models.
"By launching our best-selling model, Elantra, with CarPlay and Android Auto support, we are building on our promise to offer more convenience features for today's modern driver at an affordable price point," said vice president of product and corporate planning, Hyundai Motor America, Mike O'Brien.
Hyundai said its Display Audio system, which integrates the latest and most advanced in-vehicle technology with Pandora-link integration, features high-determination seven-inch color touch-screen display enhanced definitely for smartphone combinations.
Hyundai's Display Audio has additional features like the combination with Apple's Siri-driven "Eyes Free" mode, amalgamation with Google Now functionality and Google's voice actions via Android Auto, Sirius Travel link, progressive voice recognition, a multi-touch screen which allows wipe and swipe gestures, along with new home screen with several functions.
The company's eight-inch navigation system provides an enriched display and home screen which displays music and map information, irrespective of the music source. The Blue Link Guidance package moves along with Hyundai's onboard steering system by offering Destination Search, driven by GoogleTM, and POI Web Search and Download to help customers get to destinations through their connected car.
Apart from the Elantra 2017, there will also be a broader rollout of the fresh tech feature across Hyundai's full lineup. Current users of some model will be able to update the infotainment software to allow support. However, this will only be well-matched with the company's fourth-generation navigation systems or Display Audio, The Gospel Herald said.
Hyundai 2017 will come in Limited trims and SE and both will use 2.0-liter four-cylinder using the Atkinson cycle which makes 132 pound-feet of torque and 147 horsepower, according to the sources.
The company also said that its labour and management of the fifth Ulsan Plant have accepted to expand the manufacture of Genesis G90, beginning from January 18.
