Contatta, one of the latest champions of a novel customer relations management system, announced on Monday that it raised US $3.25 million in capital seed fund. The round was led by co-investors Kickstart Seed Fund II and Grayhawk Venture Fund II.
The round was also participated in by current investors such as Grayhawk which put in a total of US $1.4 million in two rounds of financing. Presently, Contatta has already raised US $6.4 million to expand further its CRM system.
Clarke Miyasaki, general partner with Kickstart, said that they decided to invest in Contatta after seeing the need for salespersons to have all tools necessary in order to connect with customers immediately.
"An unintended result of the outdated systems on the market today is that most salespeople simply don't like to use them very much. Contatta changes all of that with a simple and sophisticated solution that scales infinitely."
Contatta's system is meant to change the way salespersons use CRM by going beyond the current social media tools and customer engagement.
