Dubai Parks & Resorts: $2.8 Billion Amusement Project, Where East Meets The West

Officials of the Dubai Parks & Resorts, have unveiled a model of the project complex, a $2.8 billion bet in the Mid-east city-state of Dubai on Tuesday. The project site is in 9.5 square miles of desert southwest of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. The facility has been demoed to consist of a Taj Mahal-inspired theater, a theme park based on Lego-land, movie-themed attractions and much more.

Some critics have questioned on viability of the billion dollar amusement project since low oil prices have flinched the gulf economies. However, backers outright the criticism arguing lower oil prices will eventually make flights less expensive. Thus is amusement project is expected attract visitors from Europe and Asia since its inauguration in October, according to a report published in Fox News.

The park officials expects, the growing tourist numbers will continue trending upward even amid falling oil prices and business of the new facility will capitalize on it. Dubai has been reportedly hosted 14.2 million overnight visitors in 2015.

The city-state has recorded 13.2 million overnight visitors in 2014. Tourism authorities of UAE expect 20 million overnight visitors per year by 2020.

The magnificent amusement world will also offer a shopping center, a hotel and water works adjacent to the three theme parks. Dubai Parks & Resorts' website describers the project as the best meeting place for eastern and western cultures while offering a world of fun and adventure unlike any other, reports Digital Trends.

A red dragon made of 230,000 Lego brocks has already been received by the Dubai Parks officials for its Lego-land. Roller-coaster and Motiogate- the park's movie themed area, is expected offering the flavor of Smurfs village, reports Travel Pulse.

There will be many attractions inside to help keep visitors comfortable and out of the summertime heating of Dubai. Around 5,000 palm trees and 1.2 million shrubs will be planted around air-conditioned areas where guests will wait in line for rides.

The resorts will also have costumed characters, rappers and acrobatic trampoline artists offering amusement for the whole family. Jason Ramsburg, director of live entertainment at the park, has pledged to offer high quality brands with 400 performers who are the bests of the bests across the world.

Airlines have reduced plane fares following low oil prices and thus more overnight tourists will arrive in Dubai during the coming days. To attract the increasing tourist population, Dubai Parks & Resorts, a $2.8 billion amusement project is going to be developed. Inaugurating in October, the project will contain different amenities offering amusement to every age group of visitors.
