CoreCommerce, a Nashville based ecommerce company, has been acquired by a group of entrepreneurs and business executives. The Shopify competitor has initiated rolling in 2001 as a one-stop solution in ecommerce business.
Michael Thompson, Peter Marcum, Dr. Turner Nashe and Brendan McDonnell are among the new investors taking over the platform. Among them, Michael has served sales and marketing division at Fleet one as SVP while Marcum represents DevDigital as its managing partner. However, Turner is familiar as the President of IDS while Brendan is experienced in serving Medical Ventures Inc. as an executive, reports Small Business Trends.
Among the members of the new executive team, Marcum has previously worked with Matt DeLong, founder of CoreCommerce. DeLong will remain as a key partner in the company while Michael has been named as the ecommerce platform's new CEO, according to a report published in Follow News.
CoreCommerce satisfies clients from 22 countries and the acquisition is expected to expand its offerings to a larger geographical circumference. The new investment will enable the ecommerce platform to make further investments bringing in new talents while adding value to the clients, reports Tech Ten quoting Delong from his blogpost. The Nashville based company considers itself as one of the leading competitors of Shopify, the most popular ecommerce platform. But analysts observe, beating Shopify is merely impossible since it has already attained fame for customer support, design and flexibility. However, Shopify is also well acknowledged as the innovator of ecommerce storefronts. Solutions hosted by CoreCommerce offer a range of services to businesses and entrepreneurs intending to transform their brick and mortar stores into online. The ecommerce platform also provides website templates along with integrated shopping cart solutions for every step of the transaction process. The transactions include order processing, payment, fulfillment and shipping. Clients seeking additional services like marketing, customer and inventory handling in managing online businesses, also get support from the ecommerce site. The services are offered under several subscription options starting from $39.99 to $199.99 per month.
