Dwyane Wade and Siohvaughn Funches agree on divorce settlement

Dwyane Wade and Siohvaughn Funches agreed on their divorce settlement. The agreement was handed to court last July 16.

The settlement included payment of US$5 million to Funches plus the mansion in Chicago. The agreement also contained a "non-disparage" clause. This clause prohibited Funches from making any disrespectful public remarks not only on Wade but also on his family and Gabrielle Union, his current girlfriend.

Previously, Wade's ex-wife filed a lawsuit for not getting her part of the millions the basketball star earned from endorsement contracts. She also claimed that her US$300,000 in spousal support was not given to her. Last week, the court dismissed the motion. This prompted Funches to protest outside of Daley Center.

However, Wade's attorney, Jim Pritkin, stated, "Dwyane Wade has maintained over the years financial support to his ex-wife by providing her with income over $25,000 on a monthly basis, timely paid for her home mortgage, maintenance and security at the house, four cars, insurance, taxes and all of her attorney fees throughout this process."

Wade, who earned US$28.9 million, was on Forbes' list for being No. 23 of the world's top paid athletes.
