Jacob Hall, the 6-year old boy, named Jacob Hall, of South Carolina died on Saturday, after being shot at his elementary school playground earlier this week. The mother of the boy in her grief, spoke words of forgiveness upon remembering her son.
Renae Hall, called her son a "superhero" when she answered the questions from the reporters. She was interviewed outside the Greenville Memorial Hospital. The grieving mother narrates the story about her young boy, emotionally.
She described her son as a forgiving boy. She said that what happened to her son, she knew that Jacob already forgives the culprit. She further said that he is smiling down at us from heaven now. In addition, the mother elaborated that his boy is asking his mommy to be strong to forgive just like he would have.
Hall, was proud to describe her son as very mature for his age, because whenever she is feeling bad, his young little boy, has the ability to comfort her. Jacob's intelligence is different from the ordinary boys.
The mother admitted that Jacob from the start of his babyhood had a tough life. The little boy had spent his first year in the hospital after being born six week premature. He had been battling health problems like asthma. In his stay at the hospital, Hall said that Jacob prayed for "everyone besides himself". She knew that her son destined to be doing big things.
"He was going to make a difference in this world. He was going to show people how we were brought to this world to love each other, not to hate." exclaimed the mournful mother.
The tragedy made Hall realized that good people still exists in this world, through the condolences that she received from everyone in her town and all over the country as well.
Good people are still here in this world, and my son's death awakened me of the truth that there are still good people in this world. For I had given up, in fact I stopped watching news for the reason that I hate to watch the news broadcasting about killings every day. Jacob's death showed that wasn't what the world's about. The world's about people coming together in a time of crisis and helping people that they don't even know get by." said the sorrowful mother.
The kindergarten pupil, Jacob Hall was allegedly shot in the leg. The 14- year old suspect was charged as a juvenile on Friday with one count of murder in the death of his father and three counts of attempted murder. A female teacher and another 6-year-old student were also victims. They were wounded, treated and released.
"The bullet hit Jacob's femoral artery which caused massive blood loss leading to cardiopulmonary arrest. He had been on life support due to suffering a major brain injury and due to the amount of blood he lost", the family said.
Jacob's funeral arrangements will be shared on Monday. A GoFundMe page has been started to pay for Jacob's medical expenses.
Until now Townville Elementary School is still closed and will reopen for class on Monday.
