In a Battlefield game, if ever you wanted to cinematic montages and trailers you have to use a PC. Well this time, not anymore, because Dice has announced a spectator mode for Battlefield 1. Another good news is it also works on XBOX One and Playstation 4. This will be officially launched on October 21 2016.
You can now follow any individual soldier or vehicle using a "director camera" which locks on players movement while allowing you to control its position.
To start capturing cinematic shots, all you need to do is join a match as Spectator. Once in game, you can follow individual soldiers and vehicle using the director camera.
Other feature of this is that is also has a "free camera" system. You can create multiple free camera and place them around the map. Because of this, you will be able to switch between those free cameras you've put on the map.
Another feature of this is that players will also be able to tinker with "field-of-view" and "depth-of-field" settings. As Berduu explains , a low field of view value (30) works well with close ups. There are also filters that you can use, including noir, and each has a strength sider that will let players fine-tune their shots further. There is also the option to hide HUD. This has been remarkably great for all those a big fan of Battlefield.
This will be officially launched on October 21 2016. You can also play a portion of the Battlefield 1 on October 13 only if you are an EA or Origin Access member. Adding to this, you can also gain a three-day early access with the $80 special edition.
If you don't have any of the said membership or access, you can just wait until October 21 for you to be able to access everything and you will surely enjoy playing this and being an Spectator in the game.
