Amazon announces last Thursday that it will be creating 300 new jobs by 2017 when it opens a distribution center in central England, maintaining a a wave of investment in Britain.
The new jobs in Daventry, Tibury and Doncaster are in addition to the 3500 it expects to create in Britain in 2016. Head office, research and development centers, customer and service centers, a fashion photography studio, Amazon Web Services and distribution center.
Well, people from Amazon was really having fun and enjoying their job so no wonder that Amazon is still stable with Daventry Center.
According to report, Amazon is really increasing their size when it comes to UK distribution network so that they will be able to meet every costumers demand, driven in part by the 40 percent growth last year in the number of independent business selling on Amazon. The main goal of Amazon here is to meet costumers need and to give them satisfactory feeling about the products they buy from the said online retailer. Reports said that the investment is more that $4.6 billion in the UK since 2010.
Truly Amazon knows how to take care of investors, employees and of course their costumers need that's why they are now aiming for a better and higher opportunity for the said online retail shop.
Councillor Colin Poole, Daventry District Council's Economic, Regeneration and Employment Portfolio Holder, said: "Amazon's announcement today for a new fulfilment centre in Daventry and more than 300 permanent jobs is fantastic news for our local area.
"Once again another major global company has chosen to base itself in our District thanks to its excellent location and transport links. We look forward to welcoming Amazon to our town and the further boost it will bring to our local economy and employment."
Daventry Center is fast building a worldwide reputation as a key location in the heart of the UK logistics golden triangle, due to its close proximity to the M1, M6 A14, and for being home to the Daventry International Rail Freight Terminal (DIRFT).
