Mel Gibson Claims More Violence In Marvel Movies Than Any Of His Films

By

The 60 year old academy awardee actor and directorMel Gibson, slated the Marvel films without identifying any of their portrayals of violence without morality. The Washington Post conducted an interview about his latest film, Hacksaw Ridge and Gibson was questioned about the film's violent action sequences, which have been judged by some to be in conflict with the film's anti-war main character, Doss.

In the movie, Desmond Doss is an American soldier and sincere Christian. He denied to fire a sole weapon all through World War II. He was awarded won the Medal of Honor for saving 75 soldiers in the Battle of Okinawa.

When Gibson was asked about the violent scenes in the film the director of gruesome war epics and dramas such as Braveheart and Apocalypto, defended Hacksaw Ridge saying that contemporary movies encompasses "violence without a conscience," which he considers isn't the case with any of his efforts.

"To talk about the violence question, look at any Marvel movie. They're more violent than anything that I've done, but you give a critic about the characters, which makes it matter more. That's all I'll say," Gibson told The Washington Post.

As we all know, Gibson has disapproved superhero shows in the past; he said in recent times that Batman v Superman was a "piece of sh**."

"I'm not interested in the stuff," said Gibson. "Do you know what the difference between real superheroes and comic book superheroes is? Real superheroes didn't wear spandex," Gibson added.

During the casting of the Marvel movie Thor, the role of Odin, Thor's father was offered to Gibson but turned down the opportunity. In other update about Gibson and Marvel movies, the director of Iron Man 3, Shane Black only just revealed that Iron Man actor Robert Downey Jr. actually would like to see Gibson direct a new addition in the movie chains.

Hacksaw Ridge is currently out in theaters, opening against Marvel's latest, Doctor Strange.
