According to resources, Kelsey Grammer and Kayte Grammer welcomed their third child together and Grammer's seventh total. Their new born son was named Auden James Ellis Grammer and was born on November 14 weighing 7lbs. and is measuring 21 inches long.
The couple said that the name was chosen to honor the great poet W.H. Auden, and James is after another great poet and singer James Taylor. "Ellis" is all in the family, though: It was Grammer's maternal great-grandfather's name.
This is the third child for Kelsey and Kayte, who share 4-year-old daughter, Faith, and 2-year-old son, Kelsey Gabriel. Kelsey also has four other children -- Spencer, 33, Greer, 24, Mason, 15, and Jude, 12 -- from previous marriages.
Interviewers spoke with Greer last month, and she had some advice for her seventh sibling. "I would tell them to focus," she said. "In school, I kind of did the lazy overachiever sort of thing up until college. In college I tried a little bit harder, but I think it's really important to do that starting at a young age."
The couple previously suffered the tragedy of Kayte having a miscarriage in 2010, and during her pregnancy with Faith, she was carrying twins but lost a son before his birth.
Earlier this year, Kelsey's former wife Camille - who he split from in 2010 - slammed him for not co-parenting Mason and Jude with her and claimed the animosity between them is causing difficulties in terms of raising their kids.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star went on to warn that Kelsey needs to put his children's needs above all else.
His first marriage, to dance instructor Doreen Alderman ended in 1990 after eight years and one daughter Spencer, an actress on teen TV show Greek. He then wed exotic dancer Leigh-Anne Csuhany, but that only lasted a year, before he married Camille in 1997. He split from Camille in 2010 and married Kayte the following year.
