Member star of the girl singin group Little Mix Perrie Edwards must have something to say about ex-boyfriend Zayn Malik. She said it by releasing a new song called Shout Out to My Ex. But his current girlfriend, Gigi Hadid, might not be happy about it.
Recently, the singer revealed bits of the original lyrics. Case in point, the line might be a straightforward message to the new couple.
"Heard he been f--ng some model chick, yeah that s- hurt I'll admit, but f- that boy I'm over it," via News.au. Edwards explained that they rearranged the lyrics for some reason.
"We didn't want to have the parental advisory sticker on our albums and singles. Even though our fans are our age, 20 or over 18, we still have a lot of young fans. But it does feel good to swear, doesn't it?" she furthered.
Meanwhile, a source revealed that the Sports Illustrated model is not taking any of it. "Gigi wishes Perrie would just move on and leave her and Zayn alone. She thinks the song and the lyrics are immature...," quoted via Mail Online.
Notably, part of the new lyrics include:
"Took four long years to call it quits
Forget that boy, I'm over it
Guess I should say thank you
For the "hate yous" and the tattoos
Oh baby, I'm cool by the way
Ain't sure I loved you anyway"
While this could be a direct hit to Malik, The Sun reported that another song might be about his breakup with the Little Mix member as well. The girls' new song F.U. contains stanzas about cheating.
"I know you were with her/I know that you kissed her. You came home late and I was so mad/Had my break up speech ready... You cheatin', you lyin'/I know that you're hiding two cellphones."
