Samsung Galaxy S7 News And Update: To Be Released In New Glossy Black Color Versus The Shiny Jet Black iPhone 7 "

By

Samsung is preparing to introduce a new color option for the Galaxy S7 in December. The company is supposedly planning to release a Glossy Black version of the Galaxy S7 to counter Apple's Jet Black iPhone 7.

Leading up to the release of the Galaxy Note 7 in August, Samsung was having a very good year in the smartphone game. The company's Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge received stellar reviews at launch, and the pair remains the best-selling Android smartphones of 2016. The Galaxy Note 7 debacle and subsequent recall has forced Samsung to put major focus on its other flagship smartphones, the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge, and in an effort to drum up sales of the Galaxy S7 edge, Samsung and major U.S. carriers recently launched a new Blue Coral color option of the handset, which was previously exclusive to the Note 7.

Reported in August, in what appeared to be a direct response to Apple's Rose Gold iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, that Samsung added a new Pink Gold color option to its Galaxy S7 and S7 edge lineup, which are exclusively sold through Best Buy. A new report claims Samsung isn't finished taking inspiration from Apple's iPhone color palette this year and is supposedly planning to launch a Glossy Black Galaxy S7 to match Apple's wildly popular Jet Black iPhone 7.

SamMobile is reporting that sources in Korea claim Samsung will launch a new Glossy Black color choice to try and reignite sales of the Galaxy S7 and counter Apple's Jet Black iPhone 7 offering. Like Apple's Jet Black and Black color choices, Samsung's Glossy Black Galaxy S7 would be the second black variant in its flagship smartphone lineup, joining Black Onyx. The company may want to consider adding a Glossy White variant and beat Apple to the punch with its rumored impending Jet White iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.
