Samsung J3 For 2017 To Be Revealed!

By

Samsung have released a large number of Galaxy-branded smartphones, that is, devices based on Google's Android operating system. There are two flagship lines, the Galaxy S and the Galaxy Note families, and a number of mid-range devices, such as the mid-range and metal-bodied Galaxy A and the lower to mid-range Galaxy J families.

In this time, Samsung have improved the specification of all models sold in any particular family, adding higher powered processors, bigger and higher resolution screens, and of course updating the operating system. There are certain trademarks of Samsung's low and mid-range devices; they are often launched on a less-than-current version of the Android platform and unfortunately are not updated very often.

We have seen several leaks, rumors and renders of a new lower / mid-range device in the shape of the Samsung Galaxy J3 (2017). The new handset has visited the American regulatory website, the FCC, and China's equivalent TENAA and this has revealed much about the specification and technologies we can expect in the device.

Previous leaks of the Galaxy J3 (2017) have shown it to have a model designation of SM-J327P, which is based around a 1.4 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 chipset backed up by 1.5 GB of RAM.

Today we have learnt from the GFX source website that another variant of the Samsung Galaxy S3 (2017) device has been tested and this is based around a lesser chipset in the Qualcomm range, the Snapdragon 425, although it will also be clocked at 1.4 GHz. This is a notably weaker chipset compared with the Snapdragon 430, having a lesser Adreno 308 GPU and a quad core application cluster, compared with the more powerful Adreno 505 GPU and octa core configuration of the Snapdragon 430.

The device will ship with 1.5 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage, supports up to Category 4 LTE, Bluetooth 4.1 Low Energy and 802.11ac high performance Wi-Fi networking.

There is a 720p HD resolution 5.0-inch display, a 5MP rear camera and a 2MP front facing unit. This particular variant of the Samsung Galaxy J3 (2017) will also run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box, and for all that the device is thought to include at this point, there is a rumored price of around Rs. 9,000 which could potentially be the cost for the Indian market. At this juncture there is no confirmation of when the device will be officially unveiled, although some reports have suggested that December 1st is on the cards for an official announcement date from Samsung.
