Facebook announced that it is going to absorb Monoidics team after acquiring the verification software firm earlier this month.
According to Monoidics statement, its team of scientists and computer engineers has met with Facebook's own engineering team and found that they have similar principles and visions. This realization made it easier for them to accept Facebook's proposal. Facebook software designer Philip Su said the decision to absorb the skilled staff and specialists of Monoidics was a no brainer since the social media giant is always looking out for qualified engineers.
"Within this acquisition, our team discovered many," he said. "Their entrepreneurial spirit and desire to make an impact make them great additions to Facebook."
Although shares of the company received several hits in recent months, Facebook remains aggressive in acquiring startups. This year alone, Facebook acquired three US-based companies aside from Monoidics.
Su added that the acquisition of Monoidics "exemplifies our financial investment in the quality of our mobile phone treatments program."
