There is a lot of truth to the premise that others often drive us to excel. Whether it be by example or mentorship, most of us have people we would credit for our success. Successful people know that they have a lot to learn from others and follow their lead, working hard to better themselves and the world around them. CEO and business magnate Mohammed Al-Bayat has learned a lot in his journey, and he discusses the role models who have inspired him along the way.
The CEO of Al-Bayat Real Estate Group and an avid car collector in his free time, Mohammed credits three specific role models who have inspired him to excel. "Looking up to others humbles us," states Mohammed. "The best of us know that learning from others is key. It's impossible to know everything, but it's possible to acquire as much knowledge as we can."
1. Elon Musk
Elon Musk is revolutionary. He is changing the world as we know it and will stop at nothing. Mohammed Al-Bayat believes that with Elon Musk, you get a visionary with extreme tenacity. "Elon Musk is known for his work ethic and drive," says Mohammed. "He isn't afraid to push boundaries and build a world of immense possibility. Elon Musk inspires that in my own work, and because of him, I look at the world differently."
2. Arianna Huffington
Author, columnist, and journalist Arianna Huffington has been at the forefront of digital media since its inception. "Influential and powerful, Arianna Huffington continuously breaks media barriers through her extensive knowledge and unconventional approach," explains Mohammed. "She brings new meaning to the phrase knowledge is power by sharing the wealth with the rest of us."
3. President Joe Biden
"President Biden has taken on the top executive leadership role in the United States during a particularly divisive time," explains Mohammed. "That is no easy feat. President Biden brought a sense of unity to a divided world through a raging pandemic and civil unrest. He inspires me to look at my dealings from a place of unity and compromise and promote a better world for all of us."
Taking his idea of role models very seriously, Mohammed Al-Bayat looks up to influential people with the dedication to make things happen and compassion to make things better. Understanding that we are all only human, role models can help us become the best versions of ourselves in life and business.
