Class-Action Lawsuit Against Chick-fil-A

According to USA Today, the settlement stemmed from the class-action lawsuit filed in Georgia in October 2023, alleging that Chick-fil-A engaged in deceptive practices related to delivery charges during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The lawsuit alleged that Chick-fil-A initially assured customers of low delivery fees through its app or website. However, it later imposed menu price hikes of up to 30% on delivery orders.

In response, Chick-fil-A has opted to resolve the lawsuit by agreeing to a $4.4 million payout. This settlement comprises a cash fund of $1.45 million and a gift card fund of $2.95 million.

While not admitting guilt, the fast-food chain has agreed to compensate eligible customers with a $29.95 gift card or cash.

Who Is Eligible to Claim a Chick-fil-A Gift Card or Cash?

Individuals who made delivery orders from November 1, 2019, to April 30, 2021, are eligible. An email will be sent to eligible customers, and claims must be submitted by February 15.

According to TopClassActions.com, individuals informed by email can easily submit their claims online or through mail. However, the amount of compensation is still subject to adjustment or could still be reduced depending on the total number of claims filed.
