Trader Joe's Chicken Soup Dumplings Possibly Contaminated With Hard Plastic

According to the Associated Press, the Trader Joe's steamed chicken soup dumplings, which the CJ Foods Manufacturing Beaumont Corp. produces, were tested by FSIS.

They tested positive for hard plastic contamination. Because of this, over 61,000 pounds of chicken soup dumplings are being recalled.

SF Gate reported that no related illnesses or injuries were reported by FSIS so far. Previously, other products of Trader Joe's were also recalled.

At that time, it was dairy products that were re-collected because of possible listeria contamination.

What Trader Joe's Consumers Should Do

FSIS urged consumers to check their freezers for Trader Joe's chicken soup dumplings. Regulators stated that these affected steamed chicken dumplings were produced on December 7, 2023.

Their side box labels can identify them with lot codes 03.07.25.C1-2 and 03.07.25.C1-1. If you have these, then throw them right away or visit any Trader Joe's store to get a full refund.

CJ Foods Manufacturing Beaumont Corp. spokesperson said they are now investigating the possible contamination. The official added that they will ensure customers' safety since it is their top priority.
