Honda Civic units are now being recalled in the Philippines. This happened because of an issue with the popular automobile's electric power steering gearbox or EPS gearbox.
This is a big deal for Filipinos since the Honda Civic is among the most popular car models in the country. If you're a Civic owner in the Philippines, here's what you need to know about the latest recall.
Honda Civic in the Philippines Recalled Over EPS Gearbox Flaw!
According to VISOR PH's latest report, Honda Cars Philippines confirmed a voluntary recall of its 2022 Civic units because of the EPS gearbox issue.
"Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) would like to announce a voluntary safety recall of 1,025 2022 Honda Civic units to replace the Electric Power Steering Gearbox," the automaker said in its official press release.
Honda PH explained that the electric power steering gearbox in the 2022 Honda Civic units was placed incorrectly.
The car manufacturer added that the grease applied to the worm gear was depleted. This causes a stick-slip, which creates an unusual sound when turning the steering wheel.
