Apple and Google are in talks regarding the development of iPhone AI features powered by Gemini. This new effort was revealed by people who are familiar with the two companies' activities.

Apple, Google Venture to Gemini-Powered iPhone AI Features
According to Reuters' latest report, Apple is readying new features for its upcoming iOS 18 based on its homegrown AI models. To develop these advanced features, Apple needs to partner with an AI company.
People familiar with the matter claimed that Apple is considering making Google its partner in this effort. TechCrunch reported that the iPhone maker is already looking to license Google's AI technology.
Once this happens, Apple could start introducing AI-powered features with iOS updates as early as 2025. However, the two tech firms haven't decided on the terms or branding of an AI agreement.
They also haven't finalized how the potential agreement would be implemented. Tech enthusiasts said that it is unlikely for a deal to be confirmed until June.
But, consumers could expect an announcement from Apple on its upcoming annual Worldwide Developers Conference.
