A BPO firm in the Philippines was successfully acquired by US company MCI (MCI BPO); a global leader in customer experience and business process outsourcing solutions.
This acquisition will drastically benefit the American BPO solutions provider, allowing further its strategic expansion of a diverse global enhancement and footprint of its technology and customer service offerings.

According to Manila Standard's latest report, the Filipino BPO firm that MCI acquired is the EastWest BPO & Technologies; a customer service solutions based in San Fernando, Pampanga.
"This acquisition furthers MCI's strategic expansion of a diverse global footprint and enhancement of its BPO and technology offerings," said the Miami-based conglomerate.
"EastWest is another valuable addition to MCI's growing robust portfolio of worldwide companies," added the American BPO firm via GlobalNewswire.
MCI Chief Executive Anthony Marlowe explained that acquiring the Filipino BPO firm is crucial for them in expanding their offshore CX BPO contact center solutions.
Should Filipino BPO Employees Worry?
As of writing, no layoffs were announced or anything that Filipino BPO employees should worry about. In fact, Marlowe described the acquisition as a partnership.
The MCI official said that the acquisition combines EastWest BPO's resources and MCI's leadership to deliver a seamless expansion of services.
